ABSTRACT
With regard to classical genetics of ECM symbiosis, examples depicting genetic variation for relevant mycorrhizal traits, genetic crossing and progeny analysis have been discussed. Recent progress on molecular regulation of ECM symbiosis, especially SR genes and a few others affecting the cellular structure, primary and secondary metabolism has been emphasized.
