ABSTRACT

Most rapid are free radical reactions of allelochemicals. They are seen in plant excreta containing allelochemicals (Yurin et al., 1972), especially in contact with ozone of air (Roshchina, 1996; Roshchina and Roshchina, 2003), on the pollen surface (Dodd and Ebert, 1971), on the surface of seeds and leaves tested on final products, and seen as spots of fluorescent pigment. The oxidation of allelochemicals leads to the formation of hydrogen peroxide, peroxides (ozonides) of allelochemicals, free radicals such as superoxide anion radical, hydroxyl radical and radicals of allelochemicals. Peroxides may stimulate plant growth reactions (Roshchina and Roshchina, 2003).
