ABSTRACT
This is truly one of my favorites. Granted that until recently long distance has been irrationally high since the invention o f the telephone. In many spots around the world it is still high, due to anti-competitive regulation and a rtifi cial market manipulation, but left to its own devices, it drops drastically. Couple this with the advances in network and fiber optic technology, which have dramatically lowered the costs o f providing service, and viola I the price goes into a free fall — tha t’s what is happening now.
