ABSTRACT
VoIP threw open the doors to international telecom market competition. It took what was introduced by callback to the next level. Callback still relied on the use of outbound international rates to compete with the national carriers in different countries. VoIP changed this by allowing the foreign, i.e. US carri er, to use their own circuits in order to create the minutes.
