ABSTRACT
With ICP , cache servers can pool their resources to detect if objects have been cached in one of the other servers. However, this approach requires additional instructions, which can affect performance. Cache server vendors can avoid the performance issues by using layer switches to link the servers, which in turn can cost hundreds of thousands of dollars each.
