ABSTRACT
This paper provides answers to I 0 frequently asked questions about state legislatures and why they are important. It can't hope to cover everything you might want to know about state legislatures and how they operate, and there is also no reason why I should think you would be afraid to ask a question about that topic. What it does do, however, is attempt to explain why it is important to keep an eye on and understand what goes on in your state legislature and give you some tips on how to do that. It does so by answering 10 questions I'm asked about state legislatures in my capacity as IEEE-USA's manager of government activities.
