ABSTRACT
Careful selection of all mechanical refrigeration system components is essential to proper and efficient operation of both the ice storage and chilled water systems. The following discussion provides information on the various types of compressors, evaporators, condensers, and refrigerant feed devices that are available and which of these choices are preferred for application with ice storage or chilled water systems.
