ABSTRACT
Use the intraperitoneal (IP) method to inject large volumes (20 ml/kg) of an anesthetic agent or medication. Caution should be observed during the holding and injecting process since damage to internal organs can occur if care is not taken to properly restrain the animal and control the insertion of the needle. Performing one-handed injections is necessary for this technique.
