ABSTRACT

We have talked with many people during the research and writing of this book. They come from all stages of work experience, professional and personal positions, education, age, economic condition, political party, and spiritual belief. There is a common belief among them, regardless of the obvious differences, that we should have more good jobs in America-jobs that pay well, are meaningful, and fulfilling. They also believe that reshoring manufacturing jobs will support the development of good jobs. We could discuss what will happen if we do not bring these good jobs back, but let us take a different approach and talk about will happen when we do-and we will-reshore many of our manufacturing jobs back to the United States.
