ABSTRACT
We are pleased to present to you this book that focuses on recent industrial engineering (IE) applications on selected logistics problems in emerging countries. Even though IE was born and evolved in the United States, the profession has witnessed a rapid growth in the breadth and depth of applications in many other countries in the last three decades. This book provides a collation of modern applications of IE tools and techniques to a diversity of environments in the context of emerging countries.
