ABSTRACT

Due to the undesired implications of maritime mishaps such as ship collisions and their consequent damages to maritime assets, the safety and security of waterways, ports, and other maritime assets are of utmost importance to authorities and researches. Terrorist attacks, piracy, accidents, and environmental damages are some of the concerns. With the expansion of ports and port operations within Qatar such as Ras Laffan and Mesaieed, the construction of new ones such as the new port in Doha, Qatar, needs to consider the risks its ports are facing and address them.
