ABSTRACT
The World Health Organization estimates heterosexual spread of HIV is increasing among 15 to 24 year olds. More infected young women means inevitably more infants being born at risk for HIV infection, and more families being affected as their loved ones live with the virus or die from AIDS. In turn, this outcome will impact on the provision of health care.
