ABSTRACT

So someone could believe watching the development in power generation during the last 10 or 15 years. The power generation market has completely changed:

– Nuclear Power Stations will no longer be installed according to the political development

– Conventional Coal-fired Power Stations are stagnating; most of the big industrial countries have not installed any new plant within the last decade

– New capacities are planned as Combined Cycle Power Plants (CCPP) with gas turbines, heat recovery steam generators (HRSG) and steam turbines (Fig. 1).
