ABSTRACT
As is observed in debris flows or any other granular flows, granular media behave solid-likely when they are put in a quasi-static environment and fluid-likely when they lose their static equilibrium. Our final goal is to formulate a universal constitutive model that covers wide-range behaviors of granular media. However, due to the complexity of behaviors, we should say that the goal is still far.
