ABSTRACT
Preface The reviews in this section cover papers presented at the 47th Annual Meeting (Spring) and Symposium on Macromolecules (Fall) of the Society of Polymer Science, Japan (SPSJ) which were held, respectively, in Kyoto International Hall on May 27-29, 1998 and Nagoya Congress Center on September 30 to October 2, 1997. There were 3,035 attendants and 1,891 presentations at the Spring Meeting, and 2,500 attendants and 1,570 pesentations at the Fall Symposium.
