ABSTRACT
In this work thermal springs in the Manikaran Geothermal Area, in Parbati Valley Geothermal Field, Kullu District, Himachal Pradesh, has been studied, in order to understand the geochemistry of the thermal as well as cold waters, evolutionary history of the thermal waters and to evaluate the prospects of thermal springs as geothermal energy source of the area.
