ABSTRACT
In this chapter we give applications of the curvature of parametrised curves. First we show how the curvature and its derivatives can be used to deter mine inflexions, vertices, and undulations. Then we show how the curvature of algebraic curves can be determined. Finally we show how cusps can be classified by considering the limiting curvature at the cusp, together with the sign of the curvature at points on each side of the cusp.
