ABSTRACT

In Chapter 1 we generated two kinds of polynomial sequences, primary and secondary, from a particular kind of real function f. In this chapter we repeat this development using f-1 in place of/, thereby creating a parallel but "distorted" world, much like the looking-glass world in Alice in Wonderland. As we will see later, there are important relationships between the f-side and the f-1-side, which we call the "first" and "second" sides.
