ABSTRACT
In Italy as well as in other countries, the agricultural utilization of sewage sludge has been considered as a practice able to return nutrients to the agroecosystem. Moreover, because italian pedoclimatic conditions, also the organic matter of sewage sludge has been emphasized as capable to improve soil fertility (2).
