ABSTRACT
ABSTRACT Present and future water quality management efforts must be integrated and address the pollution abatement of dry and wet weather urban, industrial and agricultural wastewater discharges (point sources), reduction and mitigation of nonpoint sources, land use and its pollution effects. They should include effects of deforestation and conversion to agricultural and urban land use, effect of drainage, and the waste assimilative capacity of receiving water bodies and its enhancement.
