ABSTRACT
Between two ecdysis of a molt cycle, exist different phases corresponding to the postmolt. intermolt, and premolt periods. More precise stages (A, B, C, D, E, and substages) can be determined using tegumental cues as first proposed by Drach (1939) and Drach and Tchernigovtzeff (1967).
