ABSTRACT
Introduction Even though rigorous (and large) random ized trials o f fat-soluble antioxidant vitam ins have been largely unsuccessful (see previous chapter), research continues to show that oxidized low-density lipoprotein (ox-LD L) plays an im portant role in atherosclerosis both in vitro and in vivo. This chapter reviews som e different aspects o f research in this field.
