ABSTRACT

In practical engineering, sometimes there occur doubly-periodic problems in plane elasticity. In comparison with non-periodic or simply periodic case, such problems are quite not developed completely, except in some very particular cas es. For instance, for the case where there is only one single hole in the fundamen tal doubly-periodic parallelogram, W .T .K o ite r [2] discussed the expressions of the complex stress functions and gave the formulation and solution of its first fun damental problem. However, when there are many holes in the parallelogram, the stress functions are multi-valued and much more complicated. Moreover, if there occur cracks instead of holes in it, the situation is quite different.
