ABSTRACT

In the present chapter, theory of periodic problems in anisotropic plane elas­ ticity will be discussed.

Under the assumptions that stresses and displacements are periodic and the stresses at infinity are bounded, the periodicity of the stress functions will be studied. Then, by using the formula of integrals with Hilbert kernel, the funda­ mental problems of anisotropic elastic half-plane will be obtained. At last, the pe­ riodic contact problems in anisotropic plane elasticity will be investigated, which could be reduced to periodic Riemann-Hilbert boundary value problems by intro­ ducing two functions defined in terms of certain integrals with Hilbert kernel.
