ABSTRACT
In this model, the influence of the gas-phase reactions can be taken into account by the assignment o f a certain value o f the additional heat in the thermal balance on the combustion surface.
Equations, describing the combustion process, are the following:
The boundary conditions are as follows:
The first integral o f the first equation gives the following heat balance in the condensed phase:
c(Ts -T0) = QiTjs - Q2<ps + QJS + AQg •
Using the Zel 'dovich approximation, one can obtain the fol lowing expression for the combustion rate:
2*](QW-Q2lV2+Q3lV3)dr
The values o f r/s, q>s, and js are the degrees of transformation o f the components in the reactions of decomposition o f an oxidizer, destruction and oxidation of a fuel. They have to be derived from the additional conditions.
