ABSTRACT
Concrete pavement design is often thought of solely in terms of thickness design, but there are other important elements. These include the type and spacing of joints (if any) – both transverse joints for JPCP and longitudinal joints for all pavement types. The design of the drainage system has been discussed previously in Chapter 4.
