A study of traffic behaviour requires a knowledge of the characteristics of the vehicles

commonly found in the traffic stream, particularly their:

* overall dimensions,

Basic vehicle dimensions are given in Section 27.3.2 and, in so far as they affect

lane widths, are also examined in Section 7.4.2 (Table 7.3) and Section 16.5.1.
