ABSTRACT
Transport exists to supply people and products with the mobility they need to meet their
travel demands. It can thus be categorised according to trip purpose. The principal
purposes are:
* travelling to and from work and school (job travel),
* travelling between businesses (business travel),
* travelling to and from shops and personal facilities (support travel),
* travelling to and from entertainment or to enjoy travel (pleasure travel), and
* moving freight.
