ABSTRACT
Flyrock has been a serious problem since blasting began several hundred years ago. Little (2007) has given a comprehensive review of flyrock risk and concluded:
− Flyrock injuries and fatalities are still occurring. − Risk analysis methods have become sophisti-
cated and more widely available. − Deficiencies still remain, and these include limited
input data, geological uncertainty, model risk, stakeholder perception, and user acceptance.
