ABSTRACT
Shear is to be considered at ultimate limit state only. No requirements are made for serviceability limit states. Numerical values are given in the Code for shear resistance depending on the percentage of tensile reinforcement at the section considered, the grade of concrete and the effective depth of the section. The partial safety factor ym has been absorbed into the numerical values.
