ABSTRACT
In many problems concerning fluid motion the viscosity appears with the density in the form \ijp and it is convenient to employ a single term v, known as the kinematic viscosity, and so called because the units mm2/s (L2r _1) or centistokes in the S.I. system, are independent of force. The corresponding units are ft2/s in the British system.
