ABSTRACT
What is next? First of all it is rather risky to discuss “next” in combination with the World Wide Web in the context of a book. Before it will be printed “next” will be passed by another “next” or will not have happened at all. Extrapolation of present trends works fairly well in the short term, but sooner or later some kind of revolution will take place which will make many of our present assumptions no longer valid. However, attempting to look forward is an interesting exercise.
