ABSTRACT
Uniform footwear was provided to staff in three main sections within Royal Mail. These were delivery work, (mainly out door walking on a wide range of surfaces, usually carrying a bag of mail), processing work (indoor) and distribution work (loading vehicles with wheeled containers, manoeuvring pallet trucks and driving). Most distribution employees required safety footwear.
