ABSTRACT

We have developed a new reconstruction method. After image alignment of tilt-series, a closed curve of a sample region is extracted from several two-dimensional images. In 3D space, the curve is swept along the direction of projection. The product of the swept regions along several directions can be considered to be the shape of the sample, if the sample is divided into several parts. After the reconstruction, we obtain wire-frame data of the surface and can display the rotating images dynamically in a computer monitor.
