ABSTRACT
Cleansing of contaminated soils associated with hazardous waste sites has been a major area of interest in environmental engineering practice for the last two decades. The use of aqueous solutions to accomplish this is the subject of this chapter, which reviews the technology that has evolved in the areas of soil flushing and soil washing.
