ABSTRACT
This chapter introduces a method of transmitting error resilient video sequences over fading channels based on combined source channel coding, error concealment, and synchronisation techniques. The video source coding algorithm used is H.2631 with severalrnodifications performed to allow the encoder to \vork with combined source channel coding as well as provide error concealment in the decoder. These modifications are explained later in this chapter.
