ABSTRACT
This chapter will look into some of the latest proposals in transmitting video over radio space using a variety of different coding and multiple access schemes. The presented approaches range from a source-channel encoded video over spread spectrum channel to the broadcasting of digital television, and finally to the use of scalable wavelet transform for robust video transmissions over the radio channel. Some of the presented proposals use the multiple access and source-channel protection techniques highlighted earlier in this book.
