ABSTRACT
MR CASTELA, CIMPOR, Maceira, Portugal-As a supplement to Mr Gomes’ contribution I would like to comment on our production centre. Burning tyres gives rise to two problems in the cyclone tower and in the conditioning tower. There is an increase in encrustations, especially sulphur clogging, and we have found within the conditioning tower that corrosion levels were higher than desirable.
