ABSTRACT
PVC has been produced commercially for over 40 years and world-wide sales have expanded greatly over that period with continued growth in the market forecast. The applications for which PVC is currently used span such a wide field that healthy growth is virtually assured. World sales of PVC are shown in Table 1.1, indicating the four-fold increase in sales over the past 15 years.
