Measuring Time and Frequency For many applications, you must measure the frequency of some signal or the time interval between two activities. This chapter describes how to provide frequency and period measurement capability to a PC using the parallel port. The examples in this chapter use a low-resolution 32.768KHz crystal commonly used in electronic clocks. You can adapt the examples in this chapter to your own specific needs.
