ABSTRACT
The ongoing identification of which genes play a role in the devel opment and progression of cancer and leukemia will lead to the availability of an increasing number of probes that can be applied for diagnostic and follow-up purposes. Incidentally, the identification of such genes , particu larly their functions, may also lead to the planning of therapeutic approaches related to the functions of such genes .
