ABSTRACT
In Chapters 3 and 4 we discussed A N O V A - t y p e approaches for analyzing
balanced and complete repeated measurement data. In this chapter we
introduce linear regression-type approaches, which provide some added
flexibil i ty. In particular, we discuss the generalized mult ivariate analysis of
variance ( G M A N O V A ) model in this chapter. W e investigate this model for
situations where the data are balanced but not necessarily complete. In
Chapter 6 we discuss linear models for the more complex situation where the
data are not necessarily balanced (longitudinal data).
