ABSTRACT

The majority of tensile property testing following prior creep deformation has involved oxide dispersion-strengthened (ODS) Ni-base alloys (Whittenberger, 1973, 1976, 1977, 1978, 1981), and several factors which result in creep degradation have been identified:

1. The dispersion-strengthened alloy must contain transverse boundaries. 2. The grain size must be relatively large. 3. Creep must cause microstructural damage at the transverse boundaries.
