ABSTRACT

Atlantic being worth considerably more per pound than the smaller cold-wa ter species landed off New England and the North Pacific. In the past 20 years shrimp have ranked either first or second annually in landed value of all United States fisheries, even though production often ranked seventh or eighth, again attesting to the relatively high value of the product. Even with domestic production hovering around 300 million pounds
