ABSTRACT
Producing an output greater than its input is what an amplifier is all about. Voltage, current, or both may be amplified. Because power is the product of current and voltage, it, too, is amplified. Transistors, vacuum tubes, and op amps, if fed from a proper power supply, are examples of amplifiers.
