ABSTRACT

A 13-month-old boy with infantile glaucoma in the right eye was switched from timolol maleate 0.5% (one drop daily) to latanoprost 0.005% (one drop nightly). Unlike timolol, latanoprost successfully decreased intraocular pres sures. Approximately six months later, the mother noted a darkening of the right iris. Because of the excellent therapeutic response and the lack of side effects, latanoprost therapy was continued. Evaluation one month later revealed that there was no further increase in iris anisochromia.
