ABSTRACT

That heat shock protein, HSP 70, is involved in the protection of PS II reaction centres during photoinhibition and in the PS II repair process in Chlamydomonas, as has been shown earlier by Schroda et a l , (1999). The chlorophyll a binding proteins of PS II, CP47 and CP43 can also be degraded. Also, a low molecular weight subunit PsbW has high degradation rate like Dl. PsbW protein has been suggested (Shi et al., 2000) as a requirement for dimer formation.
