ABSTRACT
The area of transcriptomics is related to a discovery of the expression of genes during development in response to the environment. The redoxcontrolled mechanisms in the regulation of expression of photosynthesis genes were explained by Pfannschmidt et al. (2001a,b). The changes in the redox state are induced due to variations in the quality and quantity of light available. Such changes are evident during state transitions and adjustment of photosystem stoichiometry (Pfannschmidt et al., 2001a,b). Proteomics is an attempt to understand the expression, post-transcriptional control and post-translational modification of proteins.
