ABSTRACT
Diner and Rappaport (2002) have reviewed the recent work in connection with 2 D and 3 D Electron and x-ray crystallography of the PS II core complex. The authors have brought out the contemporary research in the areas of structure and energetics of photosystem II. The role of cofactors of PS II, particularly tyrosine residues, is currently an important area of research and several workers have drawn their attention to these aspects (Faller et a l , 2001; Ananyev et a l , 2002).
