Winter fur has a predominance of light gray color. The Chukchi northern pika occurs in the Chukchi Peninsula-from the sea-coast in the east to the right bank of the Amguema River in the west.

2. Ochotona hyperborea minima ssp. nov.—Anadyr northern pika. The smallest subspecies of O. hyperborea. The condylobasal length of

the skull is usually less than 35 mm, diastemic width of upper molar teeth-less than 2 mm, zygomatic width-usually less than 18.5 mm, height of the skull in the occipital region-usually less than 9.8 mm, width of the rostrum-less than 6 mm, interorbital width-less than 5.5 mm (Table 7.1).
